Method 1: Step By Step Tutorial to Apply Lipstick(Regular )
Let’s begin with what we need:
1. Lip Exfoliater
2. A nourishing lip balm/ lip
conditioner
3. Lip primer
4. A lip liner
5. Concealer
6. Compact powder
7. Your favorite lipstick
And now we dive straight into the steps as follow as.
Step 1: Prep Your Lips
This is the first
and foremost step which I cant support to neglect it.
Exfoliate with a
soft, damp toothbrush or by homemade lip scrub to exfoliate the dry dead skin
cells from your lips
And hydrated your
lip by applying a nourishing lip balm to make those lips soft, supple and
healthy-looking.
NOTE: You may apply a lip primer after to make the color stay on longer and to prevent it from bleeding.
Step 2: Apply A Base
Having any kind of
discoloration or an uneven liptone, it’s crucial for your lipstick to have a
base to hang onto. So using a concealer shade that matches your lip color will
help you to make sure your lipstick does not sink into your lips.
Dab a little on with
a flat brush or a small fluffy brush with your a concealer shade that matches
your lip .
Apply some compact
over this to seal the base. It also helps your lip color to stay on longer.
Step 3: Use A Lip Liner
To define your natural lip line, reshape,
perfect the contours of the lips and to
prevent your lipstick from getting messy, use a good lip liner .This way you
will achieve a more defined, precise and polished look.
To make the cupid’s bow more prominent, create an ‘X’ shape on your upper lip, just below the cupid’s bow.

Trace over your natural lip line from
one corner to another with a liner that compliments your skin tone to prevent feathering.
Don’t worry if the lines on the
inside are slightly imperfect because the lipstick will cover them anyway – but
it’s the outer lines that matter a lot so don’t worry about the lines on inside
of lips as they cover up by lipstick
Note: Use
a liner that has a moderately smooth texture for easier application.
Step 4: Apply the Lipstick
Once you finish all the above steps and choose your lipstick
according your skin tone and undertone to avoid messy lips.
Take some product onto a lip brush and apply it evenly all over
your lips. you apply it within the corners of your lined lips and Go coat by
coat and intensify the color as you please. generally, one good coat of a
quality lipstick will suffice.
Note: If
you have dry lips, you should look for moisturizing lipsticks .
If your lips are on the thinner side,
avoid using very dark colors.
Step 5: Add Definition
This is optional but if you want to
give your lips that pouty look, you can add a subtle hint of lip gloss.
